Role Summary/Purpose: As the Manager for the System dynamics and Tribology (SDTL) Lab - Bangalore, you will lead a team of
15 scientists and engineers at GE Global Research - Bangalore within the Aero Thermal
Mechanical Systems Organization. Your focus will be to lead the team in developing and implementing innovative technologies that help GE businesses profitably meet or exceed expectations of our customers.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Laboratory Manager for the SDTL - Bangalore, you will:

- Provide and expand technical leadership in systeml dynamics and tribology for GE businesses;

- Work closely with the TLs and GE business leadership to develop/refine the vision and strategy
for the SDTL Lab - Bangalore, and alignment of that vision and strategy with other labs around the
globe including Niskayuna.

- Recruit top talent, mentor and coach team members; staff interdisciplinary teams by drawing
appropriate resources from across GE;

- Drive technology program execution and technology transition to the business, meeting
deliverables, budgets, and schedules, while also contributing technically to projects;

- Develop networks in the GE businesses, with external commercial customers, and with
Academia and External Research Partners.

- Exemplify GE leadership values and make full use of GE initiatives
Qualifications/Requirements: MS with 10 years of relevant experience

- Deep knowledge of Mechanical engineering or related technologies

- Proven team leadership and mentoring skills.

- Proven project management and project execution skills and boundary less collaboration with
other organizations.

- Strong organizational vision, strategy & passion for technology.

- Ability to set direction for organization, break down vision into concrete action items, set priorities,
manage operational processes & choose appropriate resources.

- Proven ability to lead & execute multiple and large-scale projects simultaneously.

- Proven ability to attract business funding.

- Strong networking & execution skills.

- Open mindset, strong team player.

- Excellent communication, influencing & interpersonal skills.

- Self-directed decision maker.

- Willingness to travel.
