Role Summary/Purpose: The Reliability Program Leader will own the filed reliability support for Loco Fleets.

- Provide leadership to drive, execute and deliver program objectives.

- Manage the Design for reliability and services

- Implement Solutions for field failures

- Deliver on field reliability goals & risks

- Support feet reliability and services interactions

- Mitigate & minimize risks to enable technology & cost differentiation through Life-cycle cost
Essential Responsibilities: The Reliability Program Leader provides leadership and leads projects, initiatives with broad scope and high impact to the business; he/she is a recognized expert in a reliability field. In this role you will be responsible for

- Major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

- Provide technical leadership for a team of engineers for all product design aspects.

- Assure all component designs meet requirements.

- Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as manufacturing, sourcing, services, global engineering, ATO, and systems engineering

- Support service programs, fulfillment.

- Provide strong guidance and contribution to design to value and cost out projects

- Communicate progress to all levels of the organization

- Mentor and develop less experienced personnel

- Facilitate communication of technical and business information between organizations and within work group

- Define roles and responsibilities for assigned personnel
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (with at least 15 years of engineering experience)

- B.E./B.Tech. in mechanical or electrical engineering with experience in engineering design and development, master’s degree would added advantage.

- Hands-on experience in reliability modeling methods & analysis techniques

- Training & Certification in reliability and Six Sigma.

- At least 2 years of experience in a program or project leadership role within an engineering/ services environment.
