Role Summary/Purpose:
Essential Responsibilities: ? Drive Current growth for the region. Promote close ties between technology and commercial functions as well as closer relationship between the businesses and the customers and suppliers.
? Drive Asia NPI program execution across all product lines to support business profit growth.
? Create processes to execute ITO projects together with other functions
? Provide leadership and ability to execute business imperatives in dynamic industry environment
? Plan and allocate resources to various programs based on business priorities; coach and guide the team to develop technical capability and business acumen to maximize competitiveness in the market segment.
? Work with commercial team to know VOC.
? Participate in Asia level meetings; provide constructive solutions on issues and risks by effectively communicating with technology leadership.
? Lead the team to work cross-functionally with PMQE and Sourcing organizations to drive innovation and quality into China suppliers and ensure compliance with local GE process requirement.
? Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned programs, projects and personnel.
? Promote technical excellence within the team, support the team through design and technical reviews’ participation, lessons learned awareness and application, and technical innovation/growth fostering.
? Identify and develop key talents for critical roles in business transformation.
Qualifications/Requirements: ? Relevant degree to enable the leadership role of lighting technology and commercial.
? 15+ years of lighting industry experience including commercial and technical.
? Commercially savvy, experience in product management a big plus.
? Outstanding influencing skills demonstrated in a highly matrixed global organization.
? Fluent in English at both written and oral.
? Clear thinker and able to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plan. Decisive, mature and sophisticated in approach to clients and the organization.
? Strong written & oral communication skills with the ability to influence all levels of the organization.
? Ability to handle multiple priorities and initiate, lead and manage change, project management, facilitation and complex problem-solving skills are important. Six sigma or lean experiences a plus.
? High energy, driven, and positive with a pragmatic approach.
? An impactful player with proven ability to drive change in an effective and participative manner.
? Proven leadership capability to develop, motivate, coach his/her team members.
? Positive can-do attitude
