Role Summary/Purpose: As the corrosion inhibitor platform leader, you will be actively involved with developing a strategic roadmap and leading the execution plan to meet the scaling and corrosion inhibitor development needs of the regional customers in the MENAT region. The role affords the opportunity to partner/interact with regional customers, GE businesses (Power & Water, Oil & Gas), GRC programs, and the GRC global teams.
Essential Responsibilities: As the corrosion inhibitor platform leader,
You will:

- Partner with the regional customers, GE businesses, and GRC global teams to develop a long term strategic roadmap for scaling and corrosion inhibitor development.

- Work closely with the businesses and GRC global teams to drive technical execution and focus on customer outcomes, meet deliverables, budgets, and schedules

- Provide leadership across program progression from early research and development to transitioning technology to the businesses and customers

- Influence senior leadership on program impact and businesses and GRC global teams to execute.

- Work closely and collaborate with the global businesses and teams in adjacent areas to understand shared purpose and goals

- Develop a network within GRC, the GE businesses, with external facilities, universities and technical societies. and transition technology/methods.

- Exemplify GE leadership values and promote GE initiatives

- Execute in a safe and compliant manner always
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Doctorate degree or master’s degree plus at least 5 additional years of experience in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, or related field

- At least five years of relevant experience in a research and development environment with technical project and/or people management skills

- In depth knowledge and hands on experience with developing scaling and corrosion inhibitors.

- Demonstrated impact, leadership capabilities, and the ability to lead, build, influence, and energize cross-functional global teams in high-impact technology areas.

- Demonstrated ability to understand customer needs and industry trends, simplify strategy into specific actions, make decisions, and communicate priorities.

- Demonstrated ability to influence at the senior leadership level

- Strong communication and organizational skills, strong listening, questioning, clarifying, and summarizing skills

- Ability to work under pressure with tight timelines

- Strong understanding of statistical rigor in experimentation and development and decision dependence on statistical validation.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
Desired Characteristics:
- Six Sigma or Lean Lab training and/or certification.
- Direct experience with the MENAT regional needs.
